COS 115B Introduction to Skin Care B 2.0 Units
This is an introductory lab course in skin care. This class will focus on the lab skills of safety, sanitation, anatomy, tools, equipment and basic facial techniques.

The instructor may hold some office hours in person or on zoom, a web browser is required for attending. All course work is hands-on. Due to the close contact between classmates and clients, good personal hygiene and a dress code is required (uniform, name tag, black non-slip tennis, and a black open sweater or jacket). Students will be required to pay a course material fee, and purchase several kits needed for the class.attendance and participation are required. To complete the program within the allowed program certification and/or A.A degree options, students are required to be in full attendance to allow proper completion of clocked hours, technical and operations. Our program does not offer make-up hours. Class participation is required for all procedures. Short nails are required for any skin care service. Students cannot decline a client. If the student cannot participate in class, the instructor will send the student home and the student will miss out on those hours. This active participation is a CA board of barbering and cosmetology requirement. Students not in attendance or late for the first class meeting will be dropped per the college?s no-show policy. Students who are absent more than 10% of the total class hours are subject to drop. (Less)
